The Police in Huntingdon are looking for assistance in the development of online engagement within their communities.
According to the Office for National Statistics, in 2017, 90% of households now have internet access and around 77% of adults use the internet “on the go”, with the highest levels of internet access being in London and the South East of England online communication is a highly effective method of communication.
The main purpose of this message is to request that people follow their Facebook page, and, where possible, actively promote the page within their community. The more “followed” the page becomes, the more effective it can be with communicating with members of communities that may not otherwise contact the Police and engage with policing matters, identifying witnesses, suspects, more real-time updates to the public and reducing levels of crime, and the fear of crime by sharing crime prevention messages.
