I have lived in Perry for over two years and very locally for ten years before that. I think Perry is a beautiful village with a lovely community spirit, lots to offer and a great place in which to live. I have joined the Council in the hope that I can help maintain Perry’s lovely village ethos and keep it the peaceful, friendly place that it is. Having retired in December of last year I now help at Riding for the Disabled two mornings a week.

I have had family connections with Perry since 1981 and moved here to run the village shop and Post Office with my wife Wendy in February 2003. I joined the Council in November 2009 and was elected Chairman in 2015 until the Annual meeting in 2021.

I have lived in the village for over ten years and decided to become a councillor to be a part of what goes on within Perry. Believe it or not being a councillor is enjoyable, meeting residents and helping make improvements where we can. Perry is a lovely, happy place and, as a result my family and I love living here.
I was involved in sorting out the village defibrillator which was bought by the parish council, this is sited at the Wheatsheaf pub. As a result of being on the Tri-village group a document has been created from this which is being used in Cambridgeshire. There are many super facilities we appreciate in the village and benefit from using them on a regular basis. I am happy to hear from residents to help with village matters.

I have lived in Perry since 2021 and have loved being part of a vibrant and active community.
Having worked in the NHS all of my life, I am used to change and the need to move things forward in a timely manner.
Since retiring last year, I have tried to become more involved in our lovely village.
I am a member of the Perry WI, a School Governor, a volunteer reader, and a member of our local events planning group.
Joining the Parish Council was a natural step forward in my desire to support a Community, and to bring ideas locally to fruition.
You will often see me out and about with my little Spaniel dogs.
Do stop and say Hello.
